Privacy, kept short.
One Twist processes only what is needed to create the video edit you request, operate the features you use, and understand whether those features work.
Private support
When you contact support in the app, your messages and any screenshots you choose to send are stored with your account so the One Twist team can help. They are not posted publicly or sent for AI processing. Screenshots are resized and metadata is removed. Our team receives messages and selected screenshots through a private messaging service used for support. Your in-app support history is deleted with your account. Contact support to request removal of copies in the team’s inbox.
What is processed
Your selected or recorded video, its audio, and the written edit instruction are uploaded for app functionality. One Twist also creates a random account identifier so your private projects, purchases, Magic Credit balance, profile, and community choices stay associated with your installation. You may optionally protect that identity with Sign in with Apple or Google. If you do, One Twist receives the provider account identifier and email address (including an Apple private-relay address when selected), plus your name only when the provider shares it. One Twist never receives your Apple or Google password. Apple or Google processes payment details, depending on your device; One Twist and RevenueCat receive purchase history, product identifiers, subscription status, and credit grants, but not your full payment-card details. If you edit your creator profile, its display name, handle, and bio are stored with that account. Community product interactions—such as views, watch completion, likes, saves, shares, follows, blocks, and reports—may also be stored to operate and protect the feed. Private safety reports about an AI-generated result are stored so the One Twist team can investigate model behavior. One Twist sends PostHog a narrow set of anonymous product-interaction events such as app opens, allowlisted screen names, onboarding progress, creation requests and completions, and paywall views. These analytics events do not include your One Twist account ID, device ID, profile, prompt, media, filenames, URLs, route parameters, location, purchase details, or generated content. Basic service diagnostics, including request IP address, response time, status, and failure details, are logged to secure the service and keep it reliable. One Twist does not use this information for advertising or tracking.
Who processes it
One Twist's backend, Supabase, Google Cloud, RevenueCat, Apple, Google Play, PostHog US Cloud, and Google's Gemini services process or store the data needed to provide and improve the app. PostHog receives only the anonymous analytics events described above; session replay, advertising profiles, cross-app tracking, precise location, and automatic touch or content capture are disabled. Gemini text-analysis interactions use storage-disabled requests. Video generation may create a temporary provider interaction so the finished file can be delivered; One Twist requests deletion of that interaction immediately after download and also deletes uploaded provider files on a best-effort basis.
Retention and deletion
Private source media, generated clips, results, and associated job metadata are automatically deleted from One Twist's generation server within 24 hours. Google Cloud service logs are normally retained for 30 days. Purchase records may be retained by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat as required for billing, fraud prevention, tax, accounting, and restoration. Anonymous product analytics may be retained by PostHog to measure feature use and audience size; the app does not persist its analytics identifier across launches. If you explicitly submit a creation for community review, One Twist keeps the original source and finished twist while the post is pending; if approved, both versions remain available so the community can compare them. Intermediate generated media is still removed at submission. Delete the project from Library or use Delete account & data in Settings to remove account-linked One Twist data. You can also email nan.dev.ops@gmail.com with the subject “One Twist account deletion request” from any browser. Ask privacy questions at nan.dev.ops@gmail.com.
Community sharing
Your creations are private by default. A submission stays private while it is manually reviewed and becomes public only if it is approved. Public posts may be reported and removed if they violate the community rules. One Twist does not sell personal data.
Your device
One Twist uses the system media picker for videos you choose. On iOS, optional Photos access also powers the Recents shortcut; Android does not request broad photo or video-library access. Save-only media access is requested when needed to save a finished result. Camera and microphone access are requested only when you choose to record inside the app. Notification access is requested only if you choose Notify me when it’s ready during generation. One Twist securely stores your device notification token for that video and sends an alert when the generation finishes. Notifications do not include your video or idea. One Twist does not request tracking, contacts, or location access and does not use request IP addresses to derive location.
